11. How did you hear about our guild, what made you apply?
From Talent i guess have known him for a couple of months now.

12. Describe the hardest PVE boss you killed (ever) - how long did your guild work on it, what was hard, what was good about the fight etc..
The only other expansion I raided in was Cataclysm. So far i have to give it to HC Spine of Deadwing spent the better part of 3 weeks wiping on it. Was a bit chaotic in terms of the damage that was going on the tanks and raid due to the orbs but got through it eventually.

13. Anything else that could convince us that you are a good addition to our raids.
I am very easy to get along with, as it is pretty hard for me to genuinely dislike somebody. Got no problems with helping people be it M+s or Alt runs. Got no problem with wipes as long as there is progress at the end. I know that my logs are not that convincing but what is done is done. I try to bring my best each raid and try to improve as much as possible from one raid to the next.

14.Your plans for the next 6 months - will you be AFK on vacation or take a break from raiding?
Got nothing specifically planed until 26th June till 3 July where i will be on vacation.

15. Do you know anyone in the guild?
Talent for the past couple of months

Hej there Navaris! Thank you for your application.

I'm not quite an expert on resto druids, as it is the only healer I don't play, but I'll still go over some metrics on your logs I believe to be important. First of all, you seem not to be happy with your own logs, while also making the distinction of heroic raid without and mythic raids with your previous guild: what do you think makes you perform at lower percentiles? Do you struggle with mythic mechanics? Do you think the other healers simply heal too much, leaving you with little room to contribute? What are you actively doing to remedy that situation?

On to the logs (I only looked at your best parses on Spellblade and Krosus, as the other fights are pretty irrelevant imo):
-On Krosus, your overall CPM seems to be on the lower end (you are not always casting).
-Other druids with similar kill times cast about 50 more Rejuvs than you (that is almost 50%!) while you have more haste than a lot of them.
-You miss out on a lot of Cenarion Ward casts.
-You missed out on 1 Essence of G'Hanir cast.
-You missed out on at least 1 Flourish cast.
-You have a lot of downtime on Lifebloom.
-You have some downtime on Efflorescence.
-You only used your legendary trinket twice.

-On Spellblade, your CPM was low again, your active time was below 90% even though you didn't die.
-You again have a lot of downtime on Lifebloom.
-You missed out on at least 2 Essence of G'Hanir casts.
-You only used your legendary Trinket twice (missing about 2 uses).
-You cast Cenarion Ward once during the whole encounter.
-You missed out on at least 1 Flourish cast.
-You have a lot of downtime on Efflorescence.

I'll let our resident resto druid expert and healing team coordinator Bearly look at it and contribute to the discussion as well :-)

Cheers

Heya thanks for having a look over my logs. You are quite right i am not happy with the my current log as i know that i can do more. I got no problem what so ever with following mythic mechanics and on those i rarely mess up.

Regarding the specific fights you mention specifically the low CPM, it is something that i am aware and currently working on. During parts in the fight where there is little to no damage going out on the raid i have the tendency to not DPS the boss. It is something i am aware about and trying my best to remember to do instead of just looking at the boss.

Missing out Cenarion Ward and Lifebloom, got no excuse its bad from my part and now that i know about it i am keeping a better eye on the timers for those 2.

Krossus fight
- my downtown on Efflorescence here is caused mainly as i was taking one of the farthest puddles at the back, so if it wore off, i was not casting it again untill the adds are finished with and ppl are grouped back up again.
- regarding my legendary trinket, it was tied to the healing cd rotation, i had no control when to you it other than when i was assigned.
- CD downtime - no excuse there its something that i can fix and that is what i aim to do.

Spellblade fight
- missing CDs due to the fact that the only phases i was actively healing the entire raid was in the fire and arcane. In frost there was little to no damage going out other than on the debuffed persons, and what damage was going out was instantly healed by the paladin and shaman. If every person other than 4 people are at full health, did not find any reason to use them as it is not going to affect anything.
- downtime of efflorescence - nobody is stacked and frost people were too spread to cast on them, would only hit 1 or 2 persons.
- trinket once again tied to the cooldown rotation.

I am not trying to justify my performance in both fights. I knew there are parts where i messed up, i just didnt know which and how much till now. Thanks for taking the time to actually point them out

Hej Narv'!

The most important part of improving is knowing what we do wrong and the will to get better at it. You seem to have both of that, so thumbs up :D I'm sure Bearly will be able to contribute more to fight specific scenarios/tricks specific to resto druids as I personally never played one!

Let's look forward to him & the officers joining in on the discussion.

Hey Narvais!

Thanks for the apply, and also the responses to Immanis points on logs! :-)

Some of the points Immanis made, can i agree with you on maybe being incorrect of why you have downtime on certain spells, but here goes.

When writing this i'll be honest to say that logs are down ATM, so right now i cant see the data from the two fights, but i have looked into it yesterday and can just comment on this discussion from that + the points you both made.

Krosus fight:
-Efflorescence can / should have some downtime if you struggle on mana because you (on two of the four platforms) end up having it run out before 2 felbeams & a slam that breaks the bridge = not always worth casting right before / while you are changing to the next bridge.
- The legendary trinket has a 1,15 min CD, so i can't see the argument for timing it with a 3 min CD and not using it in between / before your assigned Tranqs (if you were using 2 min tranqs on this encounter you should still have 4 uses of Velens).
- The rest of Immanis points i can only agree on as well, maybe some of the cenarion ward "miss-outs" could be justified with low debuffed tanks (not taking heavy dmg) but that is very rare and i don't think that is the case here. I am not pointing fingers tho since i 100% has some of these problems myself while healing this encounter.

Spellblade fight:
- I am sorry, but i totally disagree with the "In frost there was little to no damage going out other than on the debuffed persons, and what damage was going out was instantly healed by the paladin and shaman". First of all 2 healers cant solo heal this phase, and second there is plenty of dmg going out. Druids are one of the, if not THE strongest healer in this phase with 2 rejuvs on the 4 debuffed targets and also having very strong raid healing with wild growth when the frost explosions comes.
- Not using CD's is again not a valid argument if we are talking about the 3 CD's with 1-1,5 min cooldown when you are waiting 2-3 minutes to the phases where (in your opinion) people take dmg.

Overall you seem like a very friendly guy that understands what it's all about and is also able to improve and learn from the previous mistakes on certain bosses. However i have to be honest and say that you currently have not shown the "what it takes" when we are just looking on logs, since our current druid healer and off-druid-healer is both outperforming you.

I would love to let you get a trial/social spot and see how you improve, but if you are searching for a main healer spot with 100% attendance on all bosses i would reconsider joining. This is also because i can see you being on a different server and therefore having to pay for the transfer. But if you have no problem with this transfer for joining into a hard trial period with some benches then you have a thumbs up from me. Ill leave it open to yourself and the GM / officers.
