Woè - Discipline/Holy Priest (Declined- offered a social spot)

Post by Woe » Fri Feb 03, 2017 5:21 pm

1. Name, age, country and Battle tag.
Jørgen Forsetlund, 19 years old, Norway, Surion#2255

2. Link to armory (please log out in gear you will raid in).
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/t ... %A8/simple
Don't have any tier pieces yet since most of them have really poor stats for disc, and the set bonus isn't something that is a must.

3. Artifact level?
Discipline 42. Holy 35. ( i know these are really low, planning on doing a few mythic + spam in the near future.)

4. What are our raiding times, and do they suit you?
Wednesday, Sunday and Monday. 19.30-23.00, yes, been raiding within 18.00-23.00 timeframe pretty much all the time.

5. What loosystem do we use? (This is meant to see that you have read our rules)

6. What guilds you were in and reasons for leaving? (short description)
Most recently Empowered on Tarren mill. Lots of my old guildies from HighPriestNinjas on Grimbatol transfered over here and joined that guild, so i tagged along. Now it seems the guild is in a rather odd position, hence my reason to leave.

7. Logs of your past raids
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/rP ... pe=healing
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/c ... metric=hps
Some of the logs are a bit akward, Some i went full on dps, other times our resto druid goes tank, which allowes me to put out so much more healing.

8. Screenshot of your UI (in a raiding situation)

9. What are the sites you use to keep up to date on your specc/class?
HowToPriest Discord. Warcraftlogs.

10. Info about alts (if any)
Akamì(http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/t ... %AC/simple) Havoc Demonhunter i'm currently gearing up for PvP fun and some PvE fun, And a Frost/Arcane mage incoming.

11. How did you hear about our guild, what made you apply?
Tradechat. I heard about you on GrimBatol while you guys went under the name of Absolutum Dominum. Can't remeber how but i somehow managed to pick up that you moved over.

12. Describe the hardest PVE boss you killed (ever) - how long did your guild work on it, what was hard, what was good about the fight etc..
Probs Gorefiend Mythic. 130+ wipes. Everyone had a personal responsibility, One screwup was enough to cause a wipe. This is exactly why i loved it. It allowed you to find the part that your teamate(s) is good/bad at and help them improve.

13. Anything else that could convince us that you are a good addition to our raids.
I'm patient, rarely ever rage, and always strive to improve.

14. Your plans for the next 6 months - will you be AFK on vacation or take a break from raiding?
Going on a concert (Potentially two if i can get tickets). The concert i know im going to happens on 23/03/17. Other one happens 27/03/17.

15. Do you know anyone in the guild?

Hej there Woè, thank you for your application :-)

I had a quick look at your logs, and asked for advice from some other highly regarded disc priests to confirm my initial opinion.

From what I could see, there is a lot of room for improvement:
- You are spamming smite way too often, leaving you mana starved
- You are managing your atonements poorly, distributing them too liberally early on and leaving you unable to sustain enough atonements for key moments.
-You tend to not use LW often enough. (e.g. only 1 time on a 6 min Skorpyron M kill)
-You tend to not use Rapture/Shadow fiend often enough.
-You miss out on Penance and PW:S casts (not using them on CD)
-You have poor uptime on PTW, not casting it until 35 secs into Skorpyron M f.e. (after casting 8 PW:R, missing tons of atonement healing)

In short, you seem to still be missing out on a lot of the basics and I don't know whether you'd be ready for mythic progress for now. The final word will of course be with our healing officer Skap and the rest of the officer team.

Hey Woè!

After looking at logs and speaking with the rest of the officer team, I am afraid we cant offer you a raid spot.
But since you know someone in the guild you are more than welcome to join as a social.
